He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Maria
Galan.
Bobby was a graduate of Mary Carroll High School. Bobby’s outgoing personality
and salesmanship, was instrumental in his success in the insurance industry
where he currently held a Regional Marketing Representative position with
Southeast Surplus Underwriters. Bobby will be remembered as a loving father,
always willing to help those in need. His friends and colleagues will remember
him as having a positive attitude and always finding the good in people.
He is survived by his mother, Anita Galan; sons Robert J. Galan of Corpus
Christ, Texas and Jacob A. (Arlene) Galan of West Lafayette, Indiana; daughters
Sarah A. Galan and Elizabeth E. Galan both of Corpus Christi, Texas;
granddaughters Addison Rose and Penelope Quinn and brothers Joey (Gloria) Galan,
Gilbert (Leah) Galan and sister JoAnn (Carlos) Mireles. Numerous nieces and
nephews who will lovingly remember him for his humorous and loving ways.
A memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old
Brownsville Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas at 3:30PM on Sunday, March 9, 2008. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer
Society.
