From the Corpus Christi Caller Times, Sunday March 23, 2008

Martin Pittman was born on October 12, 1943 and died on March 20, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Veola Pittman.

He is survived by his daughters, Christy Wallace of Bastrop, Texas, and
Cindy Parker and Lee of Paige, Texas. He has four wonderful grandchildren
who he was very proud of, Zachary and Chase Martin Wallace, Morgan and
Madison Parker. We would also like to acknowledge Page Marlow, who our
Dad referred to as his #3 daughter. She was there with us every step of
the way and he loved her too.

He was a member of the Local IBEW #278. He enjoyed going to his lake
house to fish!!! He will fondly be remembered for his love of beans,
fried fish and Oreo Cookies. He loved spending time with his girls and
made almost every sporting event his grandchildren were in. After being
diagnosed with colon cancer in October 2006, he has lived in Bastrop so
his daughters could take him to chemo. He lost a gallantly fought battle
and drifted off to sleep, surrounded by his family. We will see you in
Heaven Dad 459. The family would like to thank Hospice Austin, especially
Vicki Fowler, RN.

Visitation will held Sunday, March 23, 2008, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00
P.M. at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be held at
10:30 A.M. Monday, March 24, 2008. Interment will be held Monday at 1:00
P.M. March 24, 2008, at Old St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bayside, Texas.
