Larry Mangum (February 7th, 2008)

I have some sad news to relay about a former Carroll graduate.  I don't know if you knew Larry Mangum.  He graduated in 1972.  He lived next door to my family on Bradford St.  He was a good man who loved life.  He was always winning the Carroll "Spirit Stick" because there was never any doubt if Larry was for you....whether it be a school team, a friend, or life. He passed away Feb 7th after a courageous battle with melanoma cancer.  He left behind a wife; Susan, a son; Aaron, his parents; R.J. and Shirley Mangum, and one brother; Mike Mangum (who graduated Carroll, also.) Please pass this along for me ... Thanks, Robin Breshears Hoyer '71
